Tuesday, December 8th 2009: Day 20

Temperature: 48.4 F degrees
pH: 7.6
Nitrate (NO3), Nitrite (NO2) & Ammonia levels: 0ppm (mg/L)
Total number of eggs hatched: about 100
Number of eggs removed: 1
Removed over TWENTY eggs shells today at 11:00 am so we have approximately 100 hatched sac fries now. I swear that everyone is growing by the day, they look bigger than they did when I looked yesterday! I checked the water quality today and it was fine. I noticed that there's an all white egg today with it's head coming out. The eggs that have not yet hatched are taking on an almost transparent coloring right before hatching out while others are not. Some turn whitish while they hatch and some turn a dark orange color a day or two before hatching. They seem to vary a lot in their hatching patterns.
Its hard to believe that 5 days ago we had TWO sac fries and today we have ONE HUNDRED! Its pretty neat! I took some more pictures and videos today and I removed one egg.

This photo shows a really close up view of the white egg that is partially hatched. Along with the other sac fries.

The 3 photos above are just more pictures of the sac fries, on December 8th 2009
